Electrical Installation Complex; Functionality and Malfunction Simulation: This unit enables the following laboratory exercises: simulating a phase-to-housing short circuit; simulating an inter-turn short circuit of the phase winding; simulating a phase winding break; simulating an interphase short circuit of phase windings; and simulating incorrect winding connections.
Using the simulator, students can study the primary types of malfunctions in three-phase asynchronous electric motors, including: simulation of a short circuit of phase U to the housing; simulation of a short circuit of phase V to the housing; simulation of a short circuit of phase W to the housing; simulation of an inter-turn short circuit of phase U winding; simulation of an inter-turn short circuit of phase V winding; simulation of an inter-turn short circuit of phase W winding; simulation of a phase U winding break; simulation of a phase V winding break; simulation of a phase W winding break; simulation of a phase-to-phase short circuit of windings U and V; simulation of a phase-to-phase short circuit of windings U and W; simulation of a phase-to-phase short circuit of windings V and W; and simulation of improper connection of phase windings. Each electric motor malfunction type is selected via a dedicated toggle switch, allowing for the creation of combined malfunction scenarios.
