Hydraulic Booster Training Stand; Design and Components: This training and laboratory stand allows for an additional laboratory exercise involving general hydraulic booster tests, simulating steering wheel resistance. The stand’s frame, a one-sided base with a table, houses the Hydropanel and the electrical measurement and control panel. The hydraulic schematic is displayed on this panel. Hydraulic equipment is installed on the table, Hydropanel, and stand sides. The Hydropanel displays structural diagrams of the hydraulic booster devices under study. The stand is configured for testing hydraulic boosters, but other types can be accommodated upon request. The included hydrostation is a separate module.
Key Components: The stand and hydrostation include: a three-phase asynchronous electric motor; a gear pump; a pressure filter; two hydraulic pressure valves; an adjustable throttle; two hydraulic cylinders; a steering mechanism with a hydraulic distributor; a three-line flow regulator (flow and pressure valve); a steering wheel resistance simulator; and a hydraulic booster malfunction simulator.
Configurability and Measurement System: The stand features a flexible configuration. The systems under study are connected via flexible pipelines with quick-disconnect couplings. The information and measurement system records pressure, flow, temperature, and time. Instrumentation includes five microprocessor pressure sensors and one manometer; two integrating flowmeters (speed and volume); and an electronic stopwatch. Pressure measurements are digitally displayed.
Included Items and Documentation: The stand is supplied with methodical and technical documentation for instructors and software.
List of Performed Works: The stand enables the following laboratory exercises: Studying the structure of a semi-integral hydraulic booster; studying the working characteristics of the gear pump; studying the characteristics of a three-line flow regulator; studying the characteristics of the hydraulic booster distributor; determining the load characteristics of the hydraulic booster; and diagnosing the technical condition of hydraulic booster devices.
